This Is Not a Government Office. This is a private reference site. It cannot retrieve criminal records, perform official checks, change or remove a record, or receive an expunction filing. Those services remain with the responsible government custodian.
Need an Official Record?
Use the following Halifax County and North Carolina offices for the record involved:
- Police and incident reports: ask the Sheriff or municipal police department that created the report
- Arrest, booking, and county jail records: contact the Halifax County Sheriff's Office
- Court case files: review the criminal court case guide and contact the Halifax County Clerk of Superior Court
- State repository history: use the SBI Criminal Information and Identification Section fingerprint-based Right to Review process for your own record
- Official court-record searches: ask the Clerk about the statewide name-based search; North Carolina does not offer a general public SBI name-search portal
- Expunction petitions: file the form for the correct statutory ground with the Clerk of Superior Court
